Have a Heart & Make a Difference

Introduction: For the past 13 years, I've been working in the field of behavioral health and developmental disabilities. Currently, I am serving on the region 3 planning board, the Dekalb County Task Force to end domestic violence, the fatality committee and volunteer for the women's resource center, as well as lifeline animal clinic and paws, both nonkill animal and rescue agencies. Previously, I had worked in visual communications, with a double major in English and journalism. I also have worked from being a fashion editor to new business development presentations to ad copy to monographs for oncology CEUs and brochures, to mention just few types of examples. I've even written screen treatments and dialogue, but I'm mostly interested in writing grants and worked for two years to get the New York Foundation placed on the Georgia list of providers so that my tuition could be covered as I attended their more intensive programs. I am interested in an opportunity to participate in writing grants, in particular for the purpose of dealing with the underserved population in Georgia, particularly the disabled, the homeless and children of domestic violence. This is my passion.
