Due to aging and wear, we needed to have a full roof replacement on a midcentury modern, flat roofed house. The old roof was a conventional built-up roof composed of tar and gravel. Flat roofed houses require a considerable amount of roofing expertise. The roofer needs experience in an array of new flat roof composite materials. The crew needs ample experience in laying down these materials in order to obtain a solid, performing roof. We called a number of roofers in the North Georgia area, looking for established companies that performed both residential and commercial roofing, as flat roofing is largely a commercial endeavor. We found several good roofers and obtained their opinions and quotations. We decided to have Phoenix Roofing do the project. Bill Coryer of Phoenix Roofing was impressive. From promptly responding to our inquiry, to scheduling a view of the roof, to quotation and installation, Bill and the crew of Phoenix Roofing did an excellent job. Bill's quotation was detailed and thorough. The manufacturer's warranty on the selected materials was good. Phoenix Roofing also gave us a solid installation warranty to ease our concerns on the expected life of the roof. As soon as we approved the project, Bill and company had the materials promptly delivered and installation began soon after. The entire roof was stripped and rebuilt in a week. The crew did an excellent job of cleanup afterwards. We highly recommend Bill Coryer and Phoenix Roofing for your residential and commercial needs.

My experience with Phoenix Roofing was good, Bill explained the process to me, answered all my questions, was honest on the various shingles on the market and helped me make a decision on shingle manufacturer. He worked me into his schedule right after I awarded him the job. His team worked hard and got the job done quickly and the house looks great.

William Coryer was first to respond to my request on Thumbtack. He called on Friday and on Saturday he cleaned my gutters and repaired shingles on roof. He was prompt and very professional.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that whom ever you hire has current workers compensation and general liability insurance. There are many people calling themselves roofing contractors who don't even have the proper insurance. In the rare occurence that your property is damaged or someone is injured, you want to be working with a roofer who has the proper coverages.
