- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Portrait sessions start at $250 and include up to 6 retouched images. Custom packages are available. Commercial photography is billed at a day rate of $2200 per day. Travel, accommodations and extra equipment are billed as need and can be estimated with your project's details.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started taking photos with the cheap 35mm camera I got from selling greeting cards and wrapping paper from the back of a comic book ad. I would shoot a roll or two and my mom would send it to Clark for developing. The magic only got more real when I learned how to develop film myself in high school. I still shoot an occasional roll of film, and it still seems like magic to me.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs are environmental portraits. I like to find my client's favorite spot in the world and have them interact with it in some way. I also shoot a lot of interiors for architects and designers, showcasing their hard work for their own clients.
