- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Inquiry / Consultation Discuss your business needs, software, and current bookkeeping challenges. Review transaction volume, business complexity, and services required. Provide a quote or pricing tier based on this information. Proposal & Agreement Send a clear engagement agreement outlining scope, pricing, and deliverables. Confirm start date and gather necessary information. Information Gathering Collect financial documents: bank statements, QuickBooks access, invoices, payroll info, etc. Review prior bookkeeping to identify cleanup needs or issues. Setup / Cleanup Organize accounts, reconcile past transactions, and ensure accurate records. Set up reporting templates and processes for ongoing bookkeeping. Ongoing Bookkeeping Monthly recording, reconciliations, job costing, and reporting. Address questions, provide updates, and maintain audit-ready records. Review & Feedback Periodically review financial reports with the client. Adjust processes as needed to improve efficiency, cost, and accuracy.
