We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Curry’s Neighborhood tutoring service and the absolute stellar professional behind it. She is more than a tutor. She has become like family to us. From working with our oldest child starting in 8th grade all the way through high school graduation, to patiently and skillfully tutoring our younger elementary-aged children, she has been a constant, trusted presence in our home and in our children’s education. Her teaching style is exceptional. She has a unique ability to captivate her students, meet them where they are, and keep them engaged and motivated. My children are not only responsive to her, but genuinely enjoy learning with her, something that speaks volumes. She builds confidence, encourages curiosity, and creates a supportive environment where our kids feel comfortable asking questions and growing academically. She has been an incredible source of guidance and support throughout our children’s educational journeys, and we are beyond grateful for her dedication, patience, and genuine care. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Session 1: Analysis of goals to be met based upon a needs analysis. Session 2-4: Initial implementation of goals. Session 5: Review and resetting of goals based upon Month 1.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Via a full-scholarship at Brown University, I was the first Brown undergraduate to study speech, performance, playwriting, and directing at the Eugene O'Neill Memorial Foundation's National Theatre Institute. At Arizona State University, I completed my Master's Thesis on Improving Fluency by Implementing Literary Performance Instructional Strategies. I currently teach one day at week at a local elementary school and coach students in middle school and in college.
