Introduction: I would have to say because we know how to say no to projects that we are not absolutely qualified to do and will not take on to much work that we can't keep our word. I like to solve problems for people. Especially when the client expected the job to be much harder than it was. Its rewarding.

I only gave 1 star because 1/2 star was not available. I also tried giving a review on their website and it seems that if you don't give them at least 4 stars that they won't show the post. This company has made me afraid to use any Handyman Services in the future. Be aware that the guy that pushes you to sign the contract and gives the quotes (Terry) is not going to be working on your project, and will have no hand in your results in the future. Also be aware that the owner will also not be the one working on your project unless you have a large job ($$$$), and your project will be worked by sub-contractors. So 9 months after we signed the contract and paid in full, our project still hasn't been completed. Myself and my husband have spent the last 9 months calling and hounding the owner of this company to send crews to our house. After dropping $4,800 on renovation costs we don't feel that we should have to keep asking them when they are going to show up to finish our job. Also the last crew left a mess all over the back yard ( boards with nails in them in the same area as where our toddlers play set is). It has been going on so long that even our neighbors have mentioned in casual conversation that they guess this company is never going to return to finish our project. Another factor we had to deal with is that they removed our gutters and then didn't bother to show up for over a month after the fact, so all the rain that we received last spring caused water to leak into our basement and dig out huge holes near the foundation of our house. Only when I called the owner and informed him that we were nearing foundation damage and that they would be responsible for the cost did they come to our property to install the gutters. This whole experience has been terribly disappointing and has caused us to rethink who we will use in the future.

This is an update to the 1 star review that I gave on 11/20/2015. After seeing my review the owner of the company contacted me immediately to see how he could remedy the situation. We agreed upon a way to fix the issues, and he even offered additional interior painting free of charge to ensure that we were completely satisfied. Now that all of the work has been completed I can honestly say that we are very satisfied with how our home looks both on the outside and the inside. I also feel that I need to mention that I have been informed that the business has been handed over to new management to ensure that no future customers have to go through what we went through. I have met and spoken to the new manager, and found her to be friendly and pleasant to work with. I also feel that she is detail oriented and will handle future scheduling with ease.

This is a very wonderful review considering what the sub contractor did to you. ultimately it is our responsibility to ensure your project is completed in a timely fashion and correctly. for the readers sake we will reveal our findings. the subcontractor ran interference and worked together with the former manager to hide the situation from the owner. however the review section is routed.to the owners own personal email therefore the truth was revealed. the owner hired me and we solved the issue immediately. thank you for that opportunity.

We used Safe and Affordable Handyman Svcs. to put up our Christmas lights this year. The did a fantastic job. The lights looked incredible, and they did everything as promised. We ended up having some faulty lights that went out right before a Christmas party that we were hosting. The owner sent out someone to fix the bad lights at no charge, after hours on a Friday night. He then followed up personally several times, to make sure that we were all set. We couldn't be more impressed and will be using them every year.

Safe and Affordable Handyman done an exceptional job at my house. From start to finish the crew was very respectful and clean. They repainted my entire home and it totally changed the feel and look of my home. Moving forward Safe and Affordable Handyman will be the only company we use for all our home projects.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was trained by my father and never left the trade.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Most clients need wood rot repair and painting. Our specialty trade is stucco repair. I would say the next in line would be tile and drywall repair. Oh yeah and decks.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
That would be 28 new window replacements, a double side light entry door, and staining all of the clients concrete slab floor. It was a major improvement!
