I ordered a 45th birthday and Ph.D. cake for my husband. Both were very delicious and aesthetically beautiful. However, if you want something specific, you must be clear and FIRM with Alethea to ensure you have what you want. And don't let her overtalk you with her ideas/suggestions if you wish for something specific. Her cakes were tasty, and the delivery was timely, but the communication was challenging for me. I made specific flavor/decore requests, put them in writing, and followed up to ensure we were on the same page. But she still took the liberty to do something different, a suggestion she made that I said I didn't want, thus leaving me under-satisfied.
As a project manager, I pride myself on communication. I put what we discussed in writing to ensure no confusion and for her to have an easy reference. I also offered to hop on an additional call if needed (she didn't respond).
My request was for two simple flavors WITHOUT fruit. I specifically told her my husband did not like fruit in his cake and requested specific messages on each cake. I did not receive the expected flavors or clarity that she did not offer coloring/artificials and still got fruit in one cake and on top of the other.
One cake was missing the requested happy birthday message that I requested, and she did not leave boxes for either cake during the drop-off, thus making it challenging to transport them home after the party. As a courtesy, I reached out before writing this, and she mentioned she was confused, although she had everything in writing, and I offered to speak if needed before she started. In closing, delicious taste, but you must be firm about what you want. I hope this helps someone.

Chef Alethea has been baking her fabulous cakes/dessert creations for our family for a very long time. A family event, weddings, birthdays, christenings, holidays, anniversaries are make extra special due to Chef Alethea’s works of art. She is more than a pantry chef - she is an artist who can make any design happen. Her sugar and fondant cakes are truly Masterpieces!!! She has never disappointed-she delivers a WOW for every occasion ❤️

Look was close but not what I wanted. Taste was absolutely flavorless. Even the toddlers didn’t like it. I had a small ceremony and nobody there liked the taste; we were all very disappointed after trying. It was for my wedding cake and was the only thing that went wrong that day. Additionally, I didnt get to save the top tier for my one year anniversary like tradition bc it was so bad I didn’t want to retaste or relive it in a year. She mentioned she might use a buttercream icing she makes herself. I wish her best as she has potential, I just wish measures, like samples, would’ve been taken to ensure more sugar was added or something, anything.
