A little more than 3 years ago it was time to change my game a bit so I tried yoga, spin classes and the like. Amanda had a table set up at the top of the stairs one day and gave me a brief tutorial of the process. It was quite strange but she was very patient and calming about results, goals, and options. I decided to sign up for, I believe, 4 classes as there was a price break. I should mention that being a man, the Yoga poses were difficult for me as my flexibility was limited. Pilates on the other hand, with the reformer table, gave me the option for what i like to call "forced stretching" From day 1, I was sold. The class and Amanda's instruction are amazing. Her calming voice, breathing techniques, and different exercises, make the class that much more enjoyable. 2 1/2 years later, I am still as much a client as I was on day 1 and that is in part due to Amanda. I used to travel quite a bit and loved Pilates so much that I took classes in Oklahoma and Colorado. Beneficial yes, the same no. Amanda and Pilates work the best for me and her teaching skills are AWESOME! I am much for flexible, have better breathing techniques, and am healthier because of this class. I should also mention that since I have been going, only 2-3 men have been in a few of the classes. C'mon men, get on board! Thanks Amanda!
