Ultimately the job got done for a reasonable and agreed-upon price, albeit after some challenges. I asked in both the job request, as well as the phone call and the text messages, that a recessed outlet would be needed. The contractor sent an employee to do the work and I walked the job down with him as well and again stressed the need for a recessed outlet given the specifics of the job. To be completely fair, English was not the employee's first language and I can definitely empathize with that. That being said we communicated well back and forth and there seemed to be no consequential language barrier that prevented any understanding. I even showed the contractor pictures of what was needed and we seemed to be on the same page. Finally I stressed to the employee that I had an extremely important work call in about 20 minutes. At this point I had already walked down the job with the contractor and told him that if he finished in that time to please send a picture and where I should send payment, but that I absolutely could not be interrupted during this time given the nature of this call. The employee said he understood. While he was working about 20 minutes later, I walked up to him again and said, "Hey, just a heads up that I'm about to get on this call so please understand I will not be able to talk whatsoever during this but I will be on the time. Please just text me if you're done and I'll send payment after the picture is sent." The employee said that he understood. Nonetheless about 10 minutes later while on the call, the employee walked behind my Zoom camera in frame and started talking to me. This was deeply frustrating. I reiterated to the employee that I was unable to speak at this time and to please text me. I'm not sure what he was trying to communicate at this time. When I went back in I said to the employee, who was just finishing up, and I saw that he did not load in a recessed outlet at all. It was a regular outlet. I reiterated for a recessed outlet in this space to make the under-counter refrigerator fit. At this point I had probably stated this five times across different modes of communication. To the company's credit they were understanding and apologetic but this still took a pretty good chunk out of my day and had to delay plans that I had made while I waited for the employee to go to the store and get the proper outlet to install. When I reached out to my contact with the company, I was essentially blamed for saying you should have communicated that to me not him because the employee may not have understood. Again I am definitely empathetic to folks who speak English as a second language, but I want to be clear that there was obviously no consequential language barrier and the employee and I had been talking in English back and forth. There is no question that the employee absolutely and unequivocally understood that I could not be interrupted on this call. As for the recessed outlet, sure maybe there was a misunderstanding. But this compounded with the disregard of communication request made for a less than ideal experience. ultimately the job got done as I asked but this was a frustrating experience that was compounded by the fact that I was essentially blamed for it.

I needed 2 new outlets in a room that was converted into an office. Val reached out right away and was able to get us in the same week. He arrived on time and completed the job quickly. Highly recommend!

They did a great job on the projects! We ran into a hiccup, but they were able to handle it easily and even went above and beyond in helping out with another issue unrelated to the original call. They installed an outlet outside, reconfigured the wiring in an outlet with the wrong output, and installed a ceiling fan in a room that didn’t originally have a setup for one.

Details: Lights • Outlets • Wiring • Ceiling fan • 8 - 10 feet (standard ceiling) • House

Val and his team were wonderful! They installed two new light fixtures and did troubleshooting and repair to a third in my home. I also asked lots of questions and Val was very patient in explaining the work details to me. I could not be more pleased with the quality and professionalism of the service and work done on my home. In future VIP will be my first contact for any electrical needs. Thanks so much guys!

Details: Replacement of existing lighting • 2-4 lights • Over 14 feet (lofty ceiling) • Indoors • Existing property • House
