Paul was very helpful in the beginning. He was very understanding and knowledgable about the installation of LVT on an area of 320 sf covered with plywood. One business day before the installation, the company he ordered the materials from "messed up the shipment" and was not able to meet the expected original delivery neither any date for the next one month- which was at first a little dubious. Understanding that this was "not" Paul's fault, I tried finding the materials on my own and have him install it on the scheduled installation date. Once I spent an entire day retrieving supplies of my one and had his confirmation for installing it for me, he was unable to even perform the labor for me on that scheduled date, which made the previous excuses of delays and "not-my-fault reasoning" even more dubious. I am not sure if this was a one- time misstep for him or an ongoing pattern. However, the fact that he seemed interested and committed until the very last second and then claimed that he would not be able to do the job at all does not leave me any room to recommend him or his services. I am very dissatisfied and would not consider him in the future.

This job was just to lay tile in the kitchen area and bedroom. Paul doesn't take pride in his work nor does he even care about the end product. Here is the list of half done or poorly done work.
1. uneven tile
2. grout color mixed incorrectly - put blame on manufacturer opposed to his incompetents
3. shoe molding not cut to fit the wall
4. Changed prices
I do not do this type of work for my job but I know when its sorry work. I did check a reference that he provided. This reference was from Deacon in the church in Decatur. I was somewhat familiar with this area so I assumed that would have been good coming from this person. This was also supposed to be a 2 part job as we discussed before the job began. Paul seemed to have a few things wrong with his memory once the job was complete. He conveniently gave himself a 1K raise on the new quote. His reasoning was that he messed up on the previous quote. But he did the work anyway... Who does that? He also returned to replace one to the tile that was installed incorrectly because it never stuck to the floor. When that tile was replaced again the tile was uneven. Lastly, I didn't pay him to complete the remained of the work. I would not allow him back to sweep the floor. GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!

We were very happy with Paul! He was efficient, very affordable and gave us a fantastic finished product. I would highly recommend him for any laminate or hardwood installation.
