Introduction: Unlike most attorneys, I understand what it's like to be a non-attorney. I spent several years of my adult, professional life confused about legal issues and how they impacted my life. Because of that, I feel I do a far better job explaining the law to non-lawyers. At the very least, I try. I don't expect my clients to just "trust me" simply because I've been to law school and passed an exam or two.
Helping people. The division of labor in our society means that we all have to "specialize" in something. That means we truly need one another as we step outside our areas of expertise. My expertise is helping people who've encountered a legal problem and I thoroughly enjoy that.
