- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a corporate planner and was asked by a vendor if I would consider planning their wedding. I did and I loved it and have been doing it every since.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Advice, design, plan, create realistic budget, coordinate, organize, select vendors, negotiate contracts, hire labor, create floorplan, create weekend timeline, plan rehearsal dinner at no additional charge, offer design services for save-the-dates, invitations, programs and any other printed materials.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I can't pick just one. I had a bride who wanted a very harvest feel for an outdoor wedding. We created an elegant harvest affair without taking it too rustic. It was very elegant and the bride cried when she was brought on site. She said she felt like she was on a reality TV show, everything was better than she even imagined. I had another who had a fairly small budget but wanted a fairy tale feel. Using sparkling mesh and sequined overlays we were able to create that fairy tale feel without spending oodles of money.
