Bill really came in after another officiant that we had picked sent us an outrageous contract. We had to scramble in the last few months to find someone that could make time for us. He responded to all email questions within an hour or two, and made the time to do several calls to make sure that our ceremony was perfected (as we are from Missouri and couldn't meet in person). We did a rehearsal the day before the wedding. He arrived early, and did a great job of rounding up our families and explaining to each person their specific job. The day of the ceremony he coordinated with everyone to make sure that everything was flawless. He even met with my father (who could not attend the rehearsal) to explain everything to him. The ceremony went beautifully. I am so glad that the other minister fell through! If you want someone to make you feel completely comfortable, and not give you ridiculous constraints that make you nervous all day pick Bill! He really eased any of the stress that we were feeling, and made everything just as we wanted. I cannot imagine it being any more perfect!

More than I imagined. Bill Gillespie was not only my Officiant, he was my wedding planner. He stayed in close touch with me through email for several months. When the day came he showed up with a smile on his face like he was grateful to be doing our elopment when I was the one who should be gratful for his guidance he gave. It was beautiful and intimate and I can't thank him enough for all he has done for us. I pictured a shaggy courthouse wedding and he gave me a sunset ceremony in front of a waterfountain.

I can't recommend Bill Gillespie highly enough! He made our ceremony personal, simple and memorable. He was very quick to respond and offered options so we could strike the tone we wanted, which in our case was religious without being overly formal. My family spoke later about how lovely it was to chat with him while the groom and I were off getting ready and taking photos. Many thanks for a wonderful ceremony, Bill!

We wanted a wedding officiant for a short, non-religious ceremony that involved exchanging goats instead of wedding rings. Bill was stoked about the job. He had a great sense of humor about all of it, and he's very open minded. We had to hire him. And hiring him was a great decision on our part. He brilliantly balanced providing a lot of organization and structure with giving us control over the final product. I got written sample scripts, guidelines, and marriage license info the day that I hired him. He asked me a ton of questions about our beliefs and preferences for the ceremony. He responded to all my emails within a couple of hours. We never had to reach out to him; he followed up with us periodically throughout the entire wedding planning process. He does loads of weddings throughout the year, but he made us feel like we were his only clients. Bill is also a professor at Armstrong, and he brings that skill set to officiating weddings. He has a clear speaking voice and knows how to talk to an audience. My dad is very hard of hearing, and it meant so much to me that he was actually able to hear the ceremony. His speech was lovely, without being schmaltzy. He was professional, punctual, and well-dressed. He obviously loves what he does, and working with him was above and beyond what we expected. I could not recommend him more highly.
