Introduction: I became an athlete when I was a kid. I then became more professional in the bodybuilding and boxing when I was teenager. After several years, finally I found the sport that I was looking for to meet every expectation that I had, yes, MMA/Self Defense/Fitness! I then was training for years and I participated many competitions. I’ve earned around 40 different certifications in my field and passed all of the challenges. I then earned my instructor certification and ran a successful business as an MMA/Self Defense/Fitness coach for 6 years serving many clients with a variety of level, age and goals. One of the achievements that I’m proud of is that 4 of my students received gold medals as Iran’s national MMA fighter. I then got my NASM personal fitness trainer certification and worked in several fitness facilities in the US as a personal trainer. I can train someone in any level, age and goals such as, loosing body fat, toning, building and developing muscles, performance development in different sports, overall healthy life, reconditioning the body from an injury and of course teaching MMA and self defense! With chronic stress, pain in my body as well as the additional 15lb weight gain during the shelter in place (COVID 19 Pandemic) I felt like I was crumbing. I decided I had to give my all to get healthy to lose weight. A month before I met Mohsen I’d “restarted” my journey to renew my life. My first tasks included changing my diet and mentality that this would be my permanent lifestyle change. That was something only I could control. What I needed help with was the knowledge and training to gain muscle and strength in my atrophied muscles. That’s the part where Mohsen came in to help me. I didn’t just have weight to lose but I had muscle weakness due to knee issues/surgeries. I had poor balance, weak ankles, and unsteady quads to sit alone without holding onto something or plopping down. Mohsen put me on a “phased” training system to give me a great foundation for a better quality of life. After three months working with Mohsen i have lost the pandemic weight and an additional 12 lbs. I can say his motto was true, (Paraphrased) I “fought” to become more “fit” and although a challenge, I had “fun”. My quality of life is increasingly getting better, I’m much stronger while losing the weight. I am now on this journey alone but I know that he is cheering me on and that he is proud of me! He pushes me to where I need to be but never pushes too far. If something is hard he gives encouragement without letting me off easy. I am making great progress!
