- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our consultation is a flat fee of $170 and typically lasts 90 minutes to 2 hours. It's the first step in any design or home staging project. Any additional work is priced by the hour ($120) or by the square footage ($10/sq ft) of the space. We have multiple options to choose from based on the amount of assistance you need with the space. Our e-design services are perfect for the DIY client that needs a plan to implement over time. Our full service design is tailored to customers who would like to let us handle the entire project. The design fees cover labor only. Any fees for shipping, etc. are billed separately. For the full service design clients, we will primarily select items from our trade vendors.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every project starts with the consultation. The first thing we do in the consultation is LISTEN! We want to hear your goals for the aesthetics, function and overall feel of the space. Next we take a look around and start to share our ideas on how to achieve your desired outcome for the space. We follow the consultation with a fee proposal that outlines what we intend to accomplish, our design fees and the estimated costs of all of the things we'll need to create your dream space. Once you sign off on the proposal we collect 50% of the design fees upfront and then we get started creating your customized design plan. After the design plan is approved we collect payment for the items selected and begin ordering. Next up, we organize any trades such as painters and carpenters needed to work on your space. Once all items are received and trade work is finished, it's time to schedule the installation of the design plan. The final 50% of the design fee is due at this time. After payment is received, it's time to execute the design plan and prepare for the big reveal!
