Michael recently completed a carpentry job for us, as well as recaulking our kitchen countertops. We could not have been more pleased. He chose quality materials that we hadn't even thought of and completed the jobs within a reasonable timeframe at a reasonable cost. He is a good communicator, which we cannot say about similar contractors we've dealt with. Just a good experience overall and we would definitely hire him again.

I wish I could choose every item from the list to describe my experience with Michael Curry from Renascent. I sent him a punchlist of things I need to have done at our primary residence and the other home we own. He contacted me promptly, asked some questions, reviewed photos of some of the issues, then provided me with an excellent quote for the work. Today he arrived exactly on time and completed the first item for us, installation of our new exterior door. It was not an easy job, as our home is custom log and required quite a bit of work just to remove the old door, as well as significant prep work before installing the new door. He was courteous, professional, and a pleasure to work with. He cleaned up as he went, and the front porch was cleaner when he left than it was before he arrived. All we have left to do is choose some interior and exterior trim to finish off the door perfectly!

Michael did an amazing job for us! Brand new kitchen lights were installed quickly and professionally, a hole in our ceiling was patched and painted perfectly, and he replaced a decorative wood column as well. He kept everything tarped and taped off to reduce dust and trash, and was overall a pleasure to work with. Thanks again Michael!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is fair and equitable. Commensurate with industry standards. I have over 30 years experience, so usually charge by the job and not by the hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each new customer gets an account created in my accounting system. There is a 1-page proposal/agreement to be signed for smaller projects that can be completed within three (3) weeks and a 3-page contract for project exceeding three (3) weeks. A down payment of 30% to 50% is required for small projects. Larger projects are negotiated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30+ years of experience dating back to my teenage years where I have trained in all aspects of home construction. I also have 15 years of commercial building projects experience as a journeyman carpenter. I have formal education in electrical wiring, a college degree, and I am a licensed contractor.
