Introduction: I'm passionate about being your hype crew or your real talk because let's face it: change is the only constant, but it can be painful, lonely, or feel impossible, especially when we're trying to become a different person. So as an Embodied Communication Coach, I'm here to join you wherever you are in developing your own authentic voice and whatever it is that voice has to say! And I've heard it all. I have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and over a decade of experience in social work, mental health, and in education. My bicultural/bilingual experience as a CODA (Child of a Deaf Adult) deeply informs my perspective and I am fluent in American Sign Language. I've supported adolescents in rehab, marriages in crisis, and grandmothers in their final moments - and what I know is, every season of life is precious, important, and easier walked alongside someone who cares to listen and support you. And yes, that someone is me. ------------- Other services I offer: - Officiant Services in English and in American Sign Language. I also provide assistance in writing vows and ceremonial scripts. - Consulting Services for Creative Entrepreneurs. This can include branding, graphic design, starting a business, creative entrepreneurship mentoring, topics specific to neurodiverse creators, and more! - Event Planning (See Projects Section for examples). I excel in planning events from helping choose appropriate venue spaces, thinking through details, troubleshooting and logistical planning, vendor scheduling, making reservations, graphic design, decor planning, and more!

I can't recommend Lindsay high enough! I've been working with her for a little while now and she has not only helped me learn to communicate better with my partner which was my original goal, but she's helped me grow as a person. I've gone from being just another employee to SUCCESSFULLY running my own business. My relationship couldn't be healthier and I even know how to better communicate with myself. You will NOT be disappointed if you take the leap with Lindsay!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Through my work with clients, I've discovered the importance of flexibility, connection, and the ability to pivot and respond to changes in real-time. In response to this, all of my coaching clients enjoy a foundation of unrestricted communication with me between our in-person and virtual sessions. We text, send video messages to each other, or brighten each other's day with funny memes or thought-provoking questions! This is important because progress isn't linear and sometimes we get stuck or discover what we discussed isn't going to work or worked better than we thought possible! It also allows us to use our meeting time efficiently without feeling the need to try and cram one or two weeks worth of events into a scant one-hour conversation! Clients have expressed greater satisfaction and appreciation for the flexibility and progress they achieve with the monthly subscription model.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I focus on a highly personalized process in which I get to know my client and their goals. No two people are alike and my approach must be tailored to their specifications. This requires a process of developing a sense of "good fit." This is why I offer a free consultation to every client so we can get a sense of whether we will be a good fit - this is the essence and core of every good partnership because coaching also asks for a good deal of trust. I don't take that trust for granted.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have extensive training and experience working with a wide range of people and lived experiences. I have a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Saint Martins University in Lacey, Washington and a Bachelors Degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington where I majored in Cultural Studies and Creative Writing. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Georgia, I was a Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State and supported many couples and young adults through a variety of life transitions and challenges including trauma, infidelity, chronic stress, and career counseling. I also worked in a skilled nursing facility with a disabled and aging population, where much of my work centered around supporting clients navigating end of life decisions, existential questions, and significant life transitions. Over the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, I also volunteered my skills in the Olympia Free Clinic, supporting individuals experiencing temporary or permanent housing instability and subsequent issues obtaining access to healthcare and mental health services. I completed my clinical internship at The Evergreen State College's Counseling Center supporting college students through a wide range of emergent issues that manifested for them during their time in school, including chronic stress, career counseling, grief counseling, mood disorders, life transitions, identity issues, conflict resolution, and relationship counseling. I am also a CODA (Child/Sibling of a Deaf Adult) and am fluent in American Sign Language.
