- What types of customers have you worked with?
I offer residential Interior Decorating Services. Many times I'm needed just to help give the homeowner a little direction to help them get started, or get past a point in their decor that has them "stuck" - be it a paint color issue, a furniture arrangement or the right window treatment to complement their decor. Many of my clients love the "Room in a Box" style service - we work together to create a design package customized for you - in your budget, completely for your space: ideal room arrangement, furniture pieces needed and where to find them, fabrics, pillows, rug sizes and suggestions, wall & window treatments - all set up so you can put it together yourself, as time and/or your budget allow. Of course, you can always call me if you find something you love and are unsure whether it fits in your decor (of course it does, if you love it!). - CA
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone you get along well with. I often describe the hiring of an interior decorator as a mini-marriage. You have to have a great understanding of each other and a fantastic working relationship. You should feel at ease with each other, and feel a good sense of trust. Most decorators can work with a variety of styles, but we all have things we naturally gravitate towards. Some love bold color, or pattern, and others like myself tend to create restful havens with a sense of nature, history and concerted effort toward timelessness.
