Introduction: The Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music was awarded the Best of Gwinnett for 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, & 2015 and received the Gwinnett Daily Reader’s Choice for 2017 & 2016. We also won the national music school of the year award for 2020. We are by far the best and most awarded music school in Gwinnett County; located in Suwanee, Georgia yet easily accommodating students from Lawrenceville, Dacula, Buford & Duluth. Not only do we offer in-person lessons and maintain the safety protocol of the CDC, we now offer ONLINE VIRTUAL CLASSES on any instrument for students to enjoy from the comfort of their home. We offer private music lessons on a once a week basis in Voice/Singing, Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, Violin, Viola, Drums/Percussion, Mandolin and Greek Instruments for ages 4 to adult and Art Lessons for ages 6 to adult PLUS special population classes. Group early childhood classes will resume after the CDC approves of group gatherings. The early childhood class for ages 3-6 is called "Little Stars,” and “Music for Little Mozarts,” is a piano program is for ages 4-6. We look forward to starting them soon! We have a large selection of lesson times available to choose from: Monday - Friday, 9am-9pm & Saturday, 9am-5pm. Learn how to play your instrument while having tons of fun! What can I say about V.C. Giles music studio? Simply that it is not just a music studio it is home and family. My daughter has been attending V.C. Giles music studio for piano lessons for 4 years and it never seems like you are just coming in to just learn music. It is so much more.Mrs. Giles and the rest of the staff are so loving and caring. They care that you learn the basics of the art and so much more. If they see that you have talent in other areas of the arts they will work with you to achieve that goal. V.C. Giles is a place that you feel like you are at home. I highly recommend that you come and see for yourself. This is a Wonderful, Beautiful environment filled with Love and Care. I live in Norcross and commute to Suwanee weekly for piano. There are piano teachers in my area, but Mrs. Giles is not only a piano teacher, but on my support team. I know she wants my son to thrive and grow in the same ways I do. Like the support of family. She is firm, yet loving with my strong willed child and can definitely challenge and teach gifted students as well. She has not only taught him music theory, but encouraged his love of music through assisting him in developing his first composition. The studio hosts a beautiful recital at Collins Hill High School each year. I continue to be impressed with the talent of the students and encouraged through their performance accomplishments. The studio also hosts a quarterly optional performance class, where each student plays a selected piece for their peers. I also really appreciate that each student is given a yearly review, so you may track their growth and progress. I homeschool, so I appreciate that Mrs. Giles makes herself available during the day, so I do not have to give up another evening. She has additional rooms, so your children can read or do school work while you wait. I feel certain if you let her know your expectations, she will not only meet, but exceed your needs. She is firm, loving, consistent, talented and faith filled. I highly recommend Mrs. Giles and V. C. Giles Music studio in Suwanee.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All 30 minute lessons are $120.00 per month. Each lesson is $30.00 for a 30 minute lesson. More serious students take 1 hour lessons for $225.00 per month. Art classes are $120.00 a month as well. We have a one time registration fee of $35.00 for the first student and $10 for additional siblings and family members who also enroll.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We ask you to fill out a short profile on yourself. Help us get to know you and your musical goals. Within the first week we assign you music and put you on a musical track that matches your desire. If you want to learn classical, country, pop or rock and roll, we will provide the foundation so that you can eventually play the music that you love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the Gwinnett's Music Teachers Association. I attend conferences and learning opportunities are monthly. I am also a member of Music Academy Success; an organization where music teachers throughout the United States learn and practice educational ideas and concepts to help better their schools.
