Introduction: Accelerate the learning curve! At The Aurora School, we offer a K-12 blended school where students receive personal learning plans for accelerated and comprehensive learning. A state-of-the-art mixture of engaging online courses, peer collaboration, and certified teacher instruction, our students are excited about their 21st century education and prepared to be global citizens. We specialize in brain-based, accelerated learning, and we offer specialized tutoring and learning lab (afterschool, Saturdays and during the day for homeschool students). We do reading, math, SAT/ACT prep, sports training, handwriting, specific subjects, and specific challenges (dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, math deficits, non-verbal learning disabilities, auditory processing, and more). We use research-based methods and programs for rapid improvement (4-12 weeks), and intensive results (1-3 years of progress). We have just added online courses (over 200) for middle school and high school. We make homeschooling easy, and we are accredited.

This place was a nightmare for my special needs son. Nothing was as it was presented. My son went for two weeks not even full days and then they kept the pre-paid (for the yr) tuition after our request for it back to fund his schoolong else where. We agreed to pay for the days he was there and asked for the remaining to be refunded appropriately and they ignored request. What a scam. This was not a school for my son and as an educator nothing resembled best practices in education for special needs students. Other professionals with over 40 yrs combined experience working with special needs students were appalled with Aurora's services and ethics.
