Ms. Kim is a wonderful teacher. She is very patient and cares about her students. She is always nice and very enthusiastic to help. My daughter has been taking clarinet lessons for a few years now, and has improved a lot. Last year, she made Allstate, and District Honor Band the previous year. I highly recommend Kim.

Ms. Kim is amazing. My daughter has been taking voice lessons from her for years and I couldn't pick a better teacher. She has helped Sadie become a better and more confident singer.

About this pro

My approach is based upon my belief that everyone can sing and play an instrument whether for personal enjoyment or for professional or academic goals. I am here to introduce you to skills and habits that get you where you want to go. Believing in yourself is the first step. I combine good technique with making sure that you study music you love. Pop, Jazz, R&B, Folk, whatever style you like is legitimate and will get you where you need to be. I love seeing my students gain confidence. I love the magic of the moment, where we figure out how to fix blocks that are in the way. I love discovering hidden talents and strengths in my students.

    Q & A

    • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
      It is not complicated.
    • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. Recently, I took a week-long jazz vocal workshop that was very intense and very wonderful. I continue to take lessons myself and I participate in jazz jams in the area to keep myself on my toes as a performer.
    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
Music has always been a huge part of my life. I love sharing my passion for music with others. I was a librarian at one point in my life too. I love gathering material, doing "research". I have ways of finding just about any song you want to try. I decided to teach and to perform music because I do this best of all.
