Introduction: Many trainers focus on getting a kid ready for the show ring and fail to teach the basics along the way. I am just as focused on showing and being prepared when we get there, but I believe safety for rider AND horse is superior. I truly believe that riders should be well-rounded horsemen (women) and should understand how to properly care for their horse as well as ride the correct way to best benefit the horse. In addition sloppiness usually ends in accidents.
My absolute favorite part of my job is watching kids light up with excitement whether it be upon seeing a horse for the first time, enjoying their first canter steps, winning their first blue ribbon, or accomplishing a huge goal they have been working towards for months. Second only to that is seeing happy horses enjoying their job.

My daughter has been working with Jamie for almost two years. She has grown so much as an equestrian. What I appreciate most about Jamie is that she continues to train with the best herself. In doing that, she brings that training to her students who benefit tremendously. In addition, Jamie recently helped us purchase a horse. The match was perfect and her expertise was unmatched.

Jamie is a wonderful rider and trainer, I have personally ridden and worked with her for over 12 years. She is very knowledgeable and continues to further her education by attending clinics from well known professional riders that have competed around the world. Her students truly get top quality riding lessons at an affordable cost. I highly reccomend Jamie for all of your equine needs.

My daughter Katherine has been riding at Bella Terra Stables for five years. Jamie Bertone has been her trainer for the last two years. Under Jamie's tutelage Katherine's riding has progressed to where she consistently places in the top four in competition.

I have worked with numerous trainers in the area and Jamie has been one of the best! If you want a solid understanding of horsemanship and equitation look no further! She is constantly furthering her own education by attending clinics and training with the best in the industry. This in turn makes her lessons fun and challenging, where you come away from every lesson having learned something new. She has a passion for horses and teaching and it definitely shows! Jamie cares about her clients and will work hard to see you excel in the sport, wether you are taking your very first lesson or if you have been riding for years.
