FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I go and look at what the customer needs. I can see exactly what is involved. I can then give the customer a firm quote and save the customer money by giving them some options if possible. If the project is small i can usually give them a quote on the spot. If the project is a larger one, I will take detailed notes and go back to my office and work up a formal quote. I can then e-mail that quote to them for their review. Our quotes always outline exactly what materials cost, how much the labor part is and our terms. The customer can make an informed decision to move forward. The customer and I will then set a schedule to complete the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in business that certainly helps with the business end of it. I have an inactive real estate license. The education, training and experience gained with that helps as I work with sellers, buyers and investors. It gives me great insight when getting a home ready to sell, repairing a home inspectors report, preparing a home for investors to sale or rent and understanding the role repairs have in a real estate closing. When it comes down to making repairs my experience is by far the best asset. After a while most projects are repetitive. That experience is what enables quality work.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Lately we have been completing repairs on home inspections for sellers. We understand the repairs must be done quickly and done right so our sellers can close their deal. We take the worry out of it for our customer. The repairs are usually about the same things so we get better with every one.
