Introduction

Hi! My name is James, I’m a full time professional wedding photographer in the state of Hawai’i for over the last 6 years. I originally got started with family portraits back in 2017 when I first launched my business. Since then, I’ve captured over a 1000+ families and couples living in or visiting the island of O’ahu. I spend most of my days now shooting weddings and elopements but I love making time couples and family shoots when I can! I was so glad to find Jimmy to capture my fiancés and I engagement proposal. His shots capturing the moment were top notch. We received many compliments from family and friends on how beautiful and natural the photos look! I’m so happy we have these memories to look back on thanks to Jimmy! Additionally, Jimmy is a great communicator that guided us every step of the way to get the perfect shot. We felt very comfortable taking these shots with someone I had just reached out to the week prior. He was prompt with my inquiries and gave solid guidance on the logistics of the surprise proposal photo shoot. I even asked if he could grab us Leis to which he obliged no problem! If you don't hire Jimmy as your photographer, you're doing a disservice to yourself and your event! Jimmy was absolutely amazing to work with and did a phenomenal job on our wedding photos! A bunch of our guests came up and told me during the reception how much they liked Jimmy and how awesome he was. He even stayed later than booked without being asked to ensure he got all the pictures he thought we needed. I wish there was a 10 star option! Our pictures exceeded all my expectations and the turn around time was really fast. We had a destination wedding in Hawaii and I was nervous about booking someone without meeting them but he was responsive and communicative and totally put me at ease. He was early to the ceremony and gave excellent direction to everyone in order to get the best shots. I wish he lived in our state because I'd hire him for every single future event I have! Thanks again for everything Jimmy!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I'll offer a cash discount on my rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we figure out what you're looking to capture and why. After that I have a multitude of sample galleries to go through with my clients to help pick a location that they absolutely love. Then we pick a date and time that works best for what were hoping to accomplish in our session together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I got into photography my freshman year of college at UH Manoa back in 2010, graduating with a degree in Journalism. This translated into a more documentary and candid approach to my work, even though it wasn't until 2017 that I started my business and focused more on photography.
