FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use a curated selection of high-quality, professional makeup products chosen for their performance and elegance. My rates reflect the time, care, and premium materials used in every session. In New York, my on-call makeup services started at $600, reflecting the level of expertise and demand at that time. Pricing may vary depending on the event type, location, and number of people. Travel fees may apply outside of Honolulu. I’m happy to provide a customized quote after discussing your project details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always begin by asking questions about the client’s skin type, sensitivities, and preferred makeup style. If possible, I also like to see reference photos. On the day of the appointment, I start with a light facial massage to prep and hydrate the skin — this step makes a big difference in how the makeup looks and lasts. From there, I build the look based on our conversation and adjust details along the way to make sure the client feels confident and beautiful.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from a makeup school in Tokyo and began my career there. In late 2010, I moved to New York, where I trained under some of the industry’s top makeup artists while working as their assistant. Since then, I’ve worked backstage at major fashion shows in New York, Paris, and Milan for brands like Chanel, Dior, Tom Ford, and Louis Vuitton.
