- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, for massage I charge $1/min. In this price is included the massage itself as well as any additional essential oils or techniques for the massage (kinesio tape, ECT.) For yoga and aerial classes, I charge $50/hr. In this price the class and all necessary equipment is provided, this also covers a class between 1-3 people. Additional people add on an additional cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client/student, I first want to get to know them a little bit. It is helpful for me to make a better plan when I have as much information as possible from the client about their goals and limitations and expectations. Next is scheduling an initial visit. In the first session there is a lot of exploring ranges of motion and working to better understand how this body is different. After the session is completed I like to talk with the client about what was discovered and how they feel about the work done as well as discussing further planning on how we will continue to reach the goals in a long lasting way for the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained with many different schools of education throughout my journey. For massage I first studied at Hawaii Healing Arts College. After I studied medical massage with a local rolfer, specializing in structural integration and "putting the body back in place". For lomilomi I studied with Kumu Karen. Through out these trainings I also studied hot rocks massage and fire cupping. For aerial I have also studied with several schools and aerialists. I received my yoga certification from a local aerial yogi at Leva Aerial Yoga where I also studied conditioning aerial and restorative aerial. Once that was completed, I studied aerial dance with internationally known circus school, NECCA, in New England. For yoga, I have studied hatha, yin and vinyasa through Hot Yoga By the Sea. I have also studied ashtanga and bikram.
