Treatment type
Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I specialize in orthopedic massage helping with specific muscular problems due to sports injuries, repetative tasks, and prolonged over use. Effectively treating such pain can drastically improve the quality of life for those I serve. I do so in a systematic and meticulous. And of course I do so at an affordable price. I like providing low cost alternative health care. Helping others where traditional western medicine has failed or only provided a blanket term for their condition such as "tennis elbow". I enjoy the challenge of working with different types of people to help them prevent any pain from limiting their lives in any way. I also enjoy working with athletes to keep them training longer, harder, and faster than they would be able to do without massage.

I have worked with Matt Vola at various massage events. He is very professional, knowledgable, and a giving person. Matt volunteered his time to do chair massages for donations last fall, and the donations were used to help needy families with their utility bills. Many people don't return phone calls when you contact them to do volunteer work - Matt is a great asset to the massage therapy profession!

Matt Vola is a very good therapist, with knowledge that goes above and beyond most other LMT's. Matt has good energy flow, and is very down to earth. I have suffered from lower back pain for a long time, after several treatments from Matt, the pain is finally gone. The Des Moines area is lucky to have a therapist like Matt.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

There is no common job for me. I work with all ages and personality types. I work with business types who sit at a compter all day and need assistance with carpal tunnel or back pain. I work with athletes who want to train harder and longer. I work with the elderly who suffer from arthritis. I work with pregnant women who suffer from the pains of an everchanging body. I teach students at one of the local schools as well.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Research different types of massage to find a modality that is right for you. Interview your therapist. Getting in good health is a two way street. If you do not enjoy seeing your massage therapist or have personality conflicts with them, nobody benefits. No matter what type of massage you are receiving you should always feel comfortable and confident in your therapist.
