Operation Threshold

Introduction: Lekeisha Veasley has been employed with Operation Threshold Community Action Agency in Waterloo, Iowa for approximately six years as their Housing and Fair Lending Program Manager. She developed and currently manages the HUD-Approved P.R.O.U.D. Housing and Fair Lending Program. With 2 full-time counselors, 2 program support staff; the program provides: foreclosure prevention, anti-predatory lending, homeownership; and financial education services through classes and individual counseling. Ms. Veasley is the tax site coordinator for 2 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites that provide services in Black Hawk, Buchanan, and Grundy Counties. Operation Threhsold is a HUD-approved counseling agency. The Housing and Fair Lending program offers comprehensive financial and home-buyer classroom education services and indivdidual counseling services. Counselors are nationally trained and certified by NeighborWorks America and National Housing Network. Spanish and Bosnian translation services are available through the program also.
