FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price based upon a handful of unique factors. Square footage is a consideration, but so is the location of the wall, the surface, accessibility, my clients budget, timelines, design complexity etc. My initial consultations are free. Here we will brainstorm concepts, discuss your space- and I will be able to get back to you with a ballpark range for your project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the client first to see your space and discuss what you’re hoping to accimplish with a mural. We will talk about messages you want to convey, environments you want to create etc and generally the purpose for commissioning a mural in your space. This is a great time to share images you like and palettes you resonate with as well as any budgetary constraints. From there I will be able to give you a ballpark estimate. Before I begin any concept sketches we will contract for the design and then we will start to create! All of my initial designs will be done as digital overlays on a photograph of your space so you will know exactly what your mural will look like before a single brush hits your wall.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Whitman College and studied Scenic Design and Studio Art. I have spent the last 20 years creating sets for theatres in New York, Washington and Idaho. I have been an artist all of my life, but a large scale muralist since 2020, with dabblings in large scale art since 2000.
