FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Non-Standard. I do use a national average grid for many projects, but have lower prices for non-profit, educational, and health-related customers. I also have a part-time job that pays well so not totally reliant on income from my writing/editing/creative work, thus allowing me to give a competitive price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial contact leading to a meeting either in person or by email/phone/Skype to see what their needs are and if I can honestly accommodate those needs in a time-frame comfortable enough for the both of us. Creation of a "rough draft" that we discuss and adjust accordingly - which may be more than one attempt. Final product that the customer feels satisfied with. Feedback on whether the product produced the intended effect, and if not what can be done to satisfy that customer so that they want to use my services again in the future.
