I have seen Bret Welty and his band perform, in a variety of venues, a multitude of times over the past 15 years; I have an exceptionally high regard for his musical talent, his professionalism, and his personal integrity. Bret's abilities go far beyond being an extraordinary guitar player, song writer and singer, as his talents include playing many more instruments (at a professional level) than just the guitar. This understanding of the instruments in his band, and how they work together, help him hear and produce an outstanding blend in his music that is both unique but somehow familiar. Above all that, Bret is a remarkable 'Sound Man' with the ability to calibrate the best EQ and sound quality possible for any location he finds himself in. Although I have now moved to a different state, I follow Bret's career closely and have travelled over 1,100 miles, more than once, to hear his band play. If you demand good music . . . if you need a band with a following . . . or, if you simply want somebody you can count on; Call Bret Welty!!

About

My work stands out because of the variety of music I can bring to an event. Light jazz for dinner, sing-a-long, music for a wedding ceremony, music for dancing, I can deliver quality in all musical areas. I like it most when what I'm doing on stage connects with people and it never gets boring seeing people having a good time.

About

Matthew 24 Now is our band that has been in the works for many years! We are also known as Busking in The Son, as we have been busking on the streets of Boise, Idaho for the last three years. We are available for 2 or 3-hour acoustic gigs. Currently, we are set up as follows: * Acoustic guitar, vocals, and whistling -- me (Peter) * Bass guitar -- Jeremiah * Drums (a combination of a plastic bucket, two tambourines, two drumsticks, and two claves) in the most unique approach to drumming that I have seen, quite good, and very 'street'! -- Nathan * Acoustic guitar, harmonica, Djembe, and the best whistle that I have ever heard -- Jonathan We have about a ten-hour set off the top of our heads; however, most (around eight hours) have whistling for melodies until we write more lyrics and/or gain other instrumentation. I (Peter) am originally a writer/lead guitarist however, the last three years has, for the most part, been strictly acoustic. But if we ever go electric again, the amount of music is much greater. We won't do any events where there's gonna be any form of promiscuity.

Being a magician in Idaho there isn't a lot of competition, I have worked very hard on not only my magic techniques, but my people skills as well. I love inspiring others, bringing the joy and awe that magic brings to people is the best feeling I have ever experienced.

Hello, and thank you for looking on Thumbtack for a private instructor! I teach piano, voice, and guitar to beginner through intermediate levels. I work with each individual and help them gain understanding and competence in what they want to do as a musician. I work with you at your own pace. I have a studio, which is not wheelchair accessible, and for those who are disabled, I will travel to you. I charge more to travel, but I charge everyone for the month in advance. At the studio, I charge $25 per half-hour lesson and $45 per hour. So for 4 weeks, that would equal $100 or $180. If there are five lessons in a month, then the price is adjusted accordingly, i.e., $125 and $225. If I am traveling to you, my prices are $35 per half hour and $55 per hour. My location is 5 minutes north of the airport and 6 minutes west of downtown Boise. The address is 355 N Orchard, upstairs in Suite 207.
