FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
General fees and costs vary depending on the type of matter, location, complexity and other issues. Personal injury matters are generally on contingency, other civil matters are generally charged by the hours plus costs, and immigration and bankruptcy matters are often flat fee arrangements. However, in order to determine the legal and other costs for your case, it is best to discuss the case and your unique situation, to determine how I can help.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would like to speak with the potential client to discuss the legal issue. This way I can better understand the issue and potential complexity of the legal questions at hand. The client can also communicate their own situation and discuss the fees and costs involved which often are different than a generic quote.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an A.A. and B.A. from St. Mary's College in California, graduating Magna Cum Laude. I have an M.A. from the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology and a J.D. from Whittier College of Law. I also am licensed in California and Idaho. I have practiced just over 19 years as a sole practitioner in all areas of Civil Law.
