FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I am currently enrolled in SWIC taking advanced design classes and public speaking in an effort to add to my knowledge and skills. In addition to formal training, I also spend many hours going through tutorials and reading books on the latest design techniques. You can always learn something new in Photoshop and Illustrator. I am also currently learning HTML5 and hope to learn more in the future about coding php as well.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone who knows design - all the elements, fonts, colors, layouts can have a HUGE impact on how customers perceive your website. These are factors that are often overlooked. Look for someone who can work with you one on one to determine how to best make your website work. Persuasive copy that informs and engages, SEO, design elements, usability - all of these things have to be considered when determining the website that best meets your and your clients needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Design and content writing are not as easy as they seem. There are very complex considerations that go into design, things that initially wouldn't seem to be that big of a deal, but ultimately make or break a great site or advertisement. Something as simple as a color change can make all the difference and its usually those subtle nuances that our eyes are trained to see that can mean the difference between "so so" and "WOW"
