David has been to my house to clean my carpets 5 times in the last 4 plus years and my carpets still look like they are only a year or two old and it is actually 9 and a half years old. The other important thing about David Sweeney is the knowledge he has about stains and the chemicals to get those stains out is outstanding! Thank You Sweeney Brothers!!!

David Sweeney has saved me a couple of times from having horrible carpet when guests were coming. He was able to schedule in a few days, was prompt, courteous, and professional and has the carpet looking better than when I moved in!

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our family has always been compassionate about flooring. That compassion has driven us to be true master's of our craft. We understand our products backwards and forwards and we'll match the absolutely best possible product to a given situation. This commitment to excellence has kept us in business for almost 60 years while many flooring stores have come and gone. As new generations of the family join our ranks, we have continued to grow to meet our customers expectations in both retail as well as floor care. We can insure our customer gets the absolute longest life out of their flooring or furniture.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Because we deal with many varieties of flooring and flooring services, our business is very dynamic when it comes to day to day activities. Dealing with these dynamics can be both exciting and challenging. We love meeting these challenges on a day to day basis.

Combine the exciting challenges with the gratitude of our customers for a job well done, and its easy to see why we get so compassionate about our work!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. This depends on if we are talking retail or cleaning. Here is a list of our FAQ.

How often should flooring be replaced?
The lifecycle of a floor is dependent on the materials as well as the environment that floor will be used. A properly installed stone floor or quailty area rug if maintained correctly may last generations. Most broadloom carpets should last between 10 and 20 years, again if installed and maintained correctly.

What is the best maintenance for my floor?
Every floor creates a different cleaning challenge. However the most important aspect of floorcare is dry soil removal. This dry grit slowly erodes, abrades and scratches our floors and drastically shortens the life of the floor if its not properly removed on a regular bases. Vacuuming carpet and rugs, dust mopping or shop vac hard surfaces removes this unwanted dust.
When in doubt consult with the specific manufacturer for the recommended floor care.

How often should my floors be professionally cleaned?
Often we are creatures of site and we only act when see a problem. This creates a problem with many flooring types because once we realize there is a soiling problem, often the floor has already been damaged so that it will not clean back to a like new state. Most manufactures recommend a deep professional cleaning every 12 to 18 months. We recommend cleaning for health instead of for apparent soiling. This means cleaning more frequently to keep the soil loads in check. By cleaning for health the beauty of the product is naturally maintained, and costs remain lower because less work is involved.

What is the best method of cleaning?
Cleaning methods to a cleaning professional are what a tool box would be to an auto mechanic. Each method has its place. A true professional will have each method available to him to tackle different challenges. Often times methods can be used together to remove more soil that either method alone could remove. Be cautious of cleaners who preach a single method as the best. Often they either don't have enough training to know when to use each method, or are not willing to invest in the right "tools" of his or her trade.
