FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $400/month, scoped to your specific business before you commit to anything. Cleanup projects are quoted as a flat fee so you know the full number upfront. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices, no long-term contracts. One thing worth knowing: I'm not the cheapest option on Thumbtack and I'm not trying to be. The clients who find me after a cheap bookkeeper didn't work out end up paying twice, once for the bad work and again for the cleanup. A clear price for work that actually gets done is a better deal every time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a free discovery call where I learn about your business and your books. If we're a good fit, I send a clear proposal with the exact scope and price. Once you sign, you'll get access to a client portal with everything I need from you to get started, including step-by-step instructions for connecting your accounts. Most clients are up and running within one to two weeks. From there, you hand off the books and I handle everything: reconciliations, monthly financials, plain-language summaries, and year-round access for questions. No waiting until tax season to find out where you stand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Illinois Chicago and am an Intuit Certified Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor, the highest level of certification Intuit offers. Before founding KeepBookers, I spent years doing bookkeeping inside accounting firms. What that means for you: I'm not learning on your books. I've seen complex situations across manufacturing, hospitality, vending, environmental services, and franchise development, and I know how to handle them.
