- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Recently, the State of Illinois has mandated Continuing Legal Education. I have always been a believer in continuing to educate myself, even when the boss was skeptical. Now I am my own boss and I attend many seminars. Even before CLE was mandated, I always attended bar association sponsored meetings and seminars to keep my knowledge up to date and to learn from experts in fields that connect with family law matters.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Have a face-to-face consultation to see if you connect with the attorney, and to get an idea of their knowledge and experience. You should be provided with helpful information at this consultation, including the general process of the type of case you have and some specifics for your individual situation.
