- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly! I read books and magazines from industry experts on lighting. I am always looking at tutorials online. A good photographer will never stop learning and practicing!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My customers decided for me! I bought a point and shoot camera in 2009 and started taking it to parties. Facebook was just becoming popular at that time and my friends were always using my images as their profile pics. People started offering to pay me for event photography. The more I did it the more I found that I loved it. I got better and better, studied online and learned, went to conferences and bought better gear. I year ago I made the decision to quit my banking job and go full time. I can't imagine ever doing anything else now.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work a lot in night clubs. I also do a lot of portraits. Lately I have been getting into weddings again and I have also started doing real estate photography. Head shots, head shots, head shots!!!
