- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
As a good friend of mine use to remind me - "KISS." That's right..."keep it simple!" I quote all photo assignments based on my client's specific needs, photo shoot time requirements, image editing/post production and how they plan on using the images I create for them, e.g., print advertising, prints & enlargements, publishing, actor auditions, internet etc...
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father was a photographer in the U.S. Navy. He was responsible, later in his esteemed career, for camera product development at Bell & Howell Corporation. He was my initial inspiration. My mother received a "Kodak 35" camera as a college graduation gift from her parents. My first few rolls of black & white film were shot using her very vintage Kodak 35. You would absolutely marvel at the simplicity of the "Kodak 35." It is nothing at all like today's digital cameras!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Throughout the year I will photograph numerous corporate events, head shot clients, weddings, musicians/bands and arts & entertainment clients. As well, for weddings and private events, I am the goto lead photographer for Pret a Poser Wedding Photography...
