FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to sit down with a potential client and get a feeling for what they are looking for and their expectations. We discuss the type of shoot. When will this be done. How many people involved. Talk about their budget. Let them know who would be involved in the photo shoot besides myself. I would share with them my ideas that have been successful and also include their ideas in the mix. They are the customer and should always have input. This way when we are ready to shoot we have a bond that has been started and everyone will feel comfortable when it is time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken classes at colleges and one-on-one classes with individual professional photographers. This is some of the best training you can get. Mixing everyone's style helped me develop my own style. Did I go to school specifically for photography? No! but have worked hard over the years to better my skills and educate myself on different photography techniques.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I actually wanted a photo session done with my husband. We met a professional photographer and hired him to do the photo session. We started taking classes and workshops with him at school and on an individual basis. We owe a lot to him for all of his knowledge and work ethic he used to make us the best we can be. We continue to take classes and one-on-one classes. We also have hired him to do 5 photo shoots with us. They were all different themes and we just loved every minute. We continue to take classes and workshop to better our skills.
