My husband and I were very impressed with the Blake Group. They offered a number of different design options that we could easily visualize thanks to the computerized renderings provided. We were taken to see a variety of materials and the quality of our choices were excellent. The workmen who completed our project were extremely skilled, reliable and neat. They completed the job in the exact amount of time estimated. Rich Gillman was a delight to work from beginning to end. He is passionate about creating the perfect design and he has wonderful ideas and taste. His vision helped us turn our small master bathroom into a gorgeous master bathroom suite. Friends used words like "stunning, spectacular, handsome and amazing to describe our new bathroom. Lastly, Mr. Gillman came to the the job site frequently throughout the project to check on progress, quality of work and to answer questions. We give the Blake Group and Mr. Gillman our highest recommendation. Dr. and Mrs. Richard and Bonnie GershenzonJun 22, 2019

The Blake Group provided a seamless timeline that delivered the project on time and on budget. Their coordination from design through subcontractors scheduling and execution made it a phenomenal experience. Very pleased with the finished product and look forward to the next project with The Blake GroupJun 21, 2019
The Blake Group accomplished a complete renovation of our newly purchased condo in 2 months. The team of professionals designed and built two walk-in closets, a Butlers pantry, utility closet, additional storage in the master bath to coordinate with the existing built in vanities, and installed two bookcases. One bookcase was designed and built locally and the wall was extended to accommodate it and create a separate space. The wood floors were re-stained and all window trim painted black to coordinate with other finishes. Lighting was installed in every room. Everything was done on budget with a very clear understanding of all costs. My husband and i could not be more pleased with the results and the collaboration. We highly recommend The Blake Group.Jun 24, 2019
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work? It's very important to have a solid plan in place and scope of work prior to beginning a project. That may necessitate working with a professional designer or architect to explore what your options are and should give you a much more accurate budget estimate.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project? We get asked for rough estimates all the time. But each job is different and even what type of building you live in can affect the cost and timing for a project. Plus there is a wide range finishes, fixtures, and materials to choose from which can significantly impact a project budget. In Chicago, a good rule of thumb for a bathroom remodel is approx $200/s.f. and for a kitchen about $250-300/s.f. for work performed by a reputable, qualified, and insured contractor. If you are provided with an estimate considerably higher or lower, you should ask lots of questions and get other professional opinions.
