About this pro
I can deliver a more efficient and integrated design approach to your projects through the breadth of services I provide. Working for developers, home builders and remodeling companies has provided exposure to the construction process first hand. Partnerships with local general contractors and architects allows me to provide a more seamless project design and management process. I have a recent Master's Degree in Interior Design and have worked as a Teaching Assistant and Tutor which keeps me in tune with design trends and technology. I also am an Associate IIDA member (International Interior Design Association) and attend continuing education courses to stay up to date in the field. Helping others visualize and create the space that they either live or work in can be a very rewarding process. It requires both a "left and right brain" approach to understand the technical details and budget while still coming up with beautiful design solutions.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Often the design process is more time consuming than many clients think. I like to try to bill for actual time spent and services rendered which usually means I provide an estimate based of known conditions, request a retainer or deposit up front to begin a project, and then bill the client on a schedule for project work. That way everyone is accountable and the process is fair.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I specialize in providing visualizations of spaces prior to execution of the design. Often this helps clients to see possibilities and even potential problems when you begin to study space in 3 dimensions. Plus, you can try out different selections and schemes to get an idea of how everything works together prior to committing financially.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been a teaching assistant and tutor where I went to grad school (Harrington College of Design) which has helped keep me on top of trends and technology. I also subscribe to several design publications and spend time on social networking sites to learn what is going on in the industry. Prior to receiving my Masters Degree in Interior Design, I worked as a CPA for over 10 years which provides a unique business perspective to my design approach.
