I hired Pro Secure Locksmith secure to come out and take a look at the lock on my security storm door that was in operable. I received a response to my request in about an hour after submitting which I wasn’t expecting, but it was appreciated. Caio came out at the agreed-upon date and time and also contacted me to let me know that he was outside. He even asked if he could park in my driveway which I thought was very considerate and respectful of my property. Once he arrived he introduced himself and immediately went to work on my door. He assessed what was needed, went back out to his truck, and came back with several locks. He then took the time to explain how each one would operate for my needs and he gave the pros and cons, which was very helpful. Once I picked out a lock, he was done in no time. I admit I did not think he was going to be able to replace my lock as it was custom-made for my door. Caio did a great job and did not leave any parts for me to clean up. Overall, I was very pleased with Pro Secure Locksmith’s services and would hire them again. They are reliable and are really good at what they do. They value their customers time, and don’t make you feel as though they are doing you a favor for showing up! Caio was friendly yet professional, and the price was fair. We stripped a screw for our garage door and we were at our wits end with it. Thankfully he was able to come out within the hour and get it fixed. Hopefully we don’t need his services again, but if we do I will definitely follow up.

I reached out about installing a more complex lock system. After Caio pushed ahead and showed up despite me wanting more time to think through and price shop my options, he kind of rushed me into a short-term solution to rekey my spaces. After repeatedly asking about price I was finally given one and told he would “work with me.” When all was said and done, the cost ended up being $100 more than what was initially quoted because of the keys he repeatdly offered to get me. In retrospect, it was all pretty sketchy and became clear I messed up when I was presented with a bill. The work was done quickly and well, but felt very bait and switch. The lack of transparency on pricing left a bad taste in my mouth since I feel like I was managed and pushed into a sub par solution from what I really wanted. Since I’m out $425 for a rekeying job that probably should have cost less, I’d lean toward not recommending this company if you’re not already very clear on what you want and confident you know what the price should be. If he offers to get you extra keys I deeply suggest declining or insisting he provide very clear viability into pricing and not trusting that he’ll “work with you.” I was charge $10/key for a key that home depot charges $4 for and would have never even ask for more keys if he hadn’t been so insistant he would, “just take care if it.” Overall, I wish I’d been more firm about not meeting as quickly as we did. I wish I’d moved forward with a different company I was talking to who was a lot more respectful of my process and more transparent with pricing.
