- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a few ways of working with clients depending on the type of project and client preference. The three ways are: Fixed, Hourly, & Subscription. Fixed Price Projects: Portraits From Photos: Fixed Prices Based on Size & Media Pencil, Watercolor, Oil, Digital Painting/Printing Small Business Packages: Logo, Letterhead, Squarespace Website Hourly: Custom Fine Art & Illustration: Hourly (Minimums Apply) Image Editing/Formatting/Changes Design & Website Maintenance. (Suited best for well defined tasks) Subscription*: Book/Children's Book Illustration Multi Part, Large, or Complex Projects Long Term Projects Concept to Creation or Turnkey Projects *What is a Subscription Project? If you project will involve ongoing collaboration, or you would like help developing your idea from the ground up, subscription allows you to reserve a number of hours per month in my schedule to ensure that your project will be completed on time and within your budget. This arrangement works well for Authors who are looking for a collaborative relationship with an illustrator, for a small business seeking help to develop their full identity, or a client who needs help fleshing out an initial idea.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I believe that a well defined process is key to success in any creative endeavor. That is why I have developed an optimized process for every type of project I offer to ensure that my clients are satisfied with their professional relationship as much as the final product.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In 2010, I graduated with a BFA from the University of Illinois after studying both Fine Art Studio & Art Education. During that time, I also studied at Parsons School of Design for a summer, & won numerous awards for drawing and & painting, and received a scholarship for Artistic Excellence. Since then, I have maintained a professional art, illustration, & design practice while simultaneously holding a tenured position as a public school art teacher, starting an art gallery in Chicago, & delivering talks at institutions such as the Art Institute of Chicago Ryan Education Center & the Museum of Contemporary Art.
