About
My services include washing, patching and painting walls and ceilings. My work is great because I actually do wash the walls before I paint them. I do have my own tools, but I do not have a car. I do have access to Public Transportation. I can handle most Handyman type jobs: Fix a running toilet, Assemble IKEA furniture, Fix a clogged drain, Repair a deck, Tuckpointing and Masonry repair (15 years Masonry experience). Swap out door locks, take care of leaky faucets, Tile jobs, Caulking and Re-caulking bathrooms,

I am a Thumbtack provider with over 100 completed jobs. Michael was referred to me as an assistant, by my other assistant. He recently moved back to Chicago after his Indiana employer relocated. Michael has assisted me on over 17 jobs. He is fully capable of handling single piece furniture assembly. Because of my overhead, it is difficult for me take on; small, single-piece, one man assembly jobs. I am unable to charge a fee that is fair to the client and myself. I could just bid on those jobs, and send Michael out, but it would be a lot of work, and very low profit. It is better if I help Michael launch his own Thumbtack career.
His background is masonry and outdoor construction. He has the tools and experience to handle the small masonry jobs that I do not undertake: cracked bricks and stones, tuckpointing, steps made of poured concrete that have cracked, etc.

Michael came out this fall and tuck pointed several brick areas on my income property. I was astounded by the work quality and his skill level. He truly is earnest and hard working as well. His price was reasonable, somewhat on the low end. But his work is top quality. I feel like I got a great bargain. I'm satisfied with the work and will hire him again.
