FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have packages that start at $249, and increase up to full day rates.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like having an opportunity to talk with clients during our free consultation session, either in person, or on the phone. Getting to know what they are after is very important to my work with my clients, in order to better understand what they are going for, and to help them to craft the images they will be proud of for years to come. I also like to discuss what to expect at one of our photo sessions. I want the chance to talk about appropriate wardrobe, jewelry, hair, make-up, and anything else that may effect our session. I have access to some-of the best hair and make-up artist in the city, and are happy to engage them when needed. I pride myself on my ability to coach and direct individuals to get amazing images during our session. It is a process of looking and shooting, and moving the session toward the best images possible for the client. After the session, clients have a proofing gallery they can review for final image selection. Retouching is the final step, that makes the images really shine.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been shooting since 1974. I have both a BA in Art, and and MFA. I have participated in the Chicago Photography Academy Certificate Training Program, with empahsis on Digital Camera. In May of 2015, I did a one week workshop with Peter Hurley, one of the worlds best portrait photographers. His workshop, along with the headshot crew, have really helped me to become confident in working with all kinds of people to get great headshots and portraits.
