About
*Still need to file 2022 or have questions? I work year-round 🙂.
I listen to clients, then offer problem solving. I serve a smaller number of people, giving a higher level of service, making sure clients understand their tax returns and results. Skilled and at preparing multi-year returns, for those who need help catching up.
Tax Preparation, with over 20 years experience serving clients all over the U.S. It’s not just number crunching, it’s about helping you. My husband/partner was a Trust Officer at JP Morgan, bringing expertise in estate planning, investments, and banking.

Giese Tax has cleared up a serious issue with great professionalism. They work diligently to help you with how to supply them with information needed to work on your behalf. What I thought was a mountain, they simply said we got this!!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $200 per hour, with a 2 hour minimum, to prepare returns and respond to IRS notices. This includes electronic filing and client copies of completed returns. **However, I don't charge for the time answering your questions via email for work you’ve already paid for. I’m diligent about replying promptly, even during tax season.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It depends on the client. We can talk a bit on the phone, but I've found that once we work together, email is more effective. I can send clients a checklist of items to send, but I never ask clients to fill out forms, as is a common practice.
I'd like to have all the current year documents, as well as copies of the prior two year's returns. Consistency is important, mistakes can happen when income and deductions don't flow properly.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in French, not Accounting. I apprenticed to a tax lawyer, studied at HR Block, and hold the AFSP designation from the IRS.
My husband/partner formerly worked as a Trust Officer at JP Morgan. He brings a deeper knowledge of trusts and banking to our practice.
