FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My family got into the Rental Property business when I was in grade school. My first jobs were scraping and painting, and by Middle school I'd taken over all the electrical work. Our business continued to expand, as did our exposure and experience with property management. I enjoy the variety of the work and the challenge of identifying the root cause of the issue(s).
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask how they clean up. Too many "Pros" show up without so much as a dust pan knowing full well that they will be making a huge mess as part of the service. Customers shouldn't be expected to pay for a service and then be left with a trashed home more than they should be expected to pay for a nice dinner and then be sent home with dirty pots and pans for washing. A sloppy finish likely indicates a sloppy attitude towards everything.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Results: What should the completed project look like? What is important and what adds no value? Don't focus on the process, expecting the perfect results to be accomplished naturally. The Customer is responsible for communicating their vision. The Pro is responsible for making the customer vision a reality.
