FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically show up at the clients house and begin training the minute I hit the door. This is where most issues begin. Jumping, pulling and bolting out the door. I ask the client to have a leash on prior to me getting there and we start as soon as I say hello. Clients want change and that is what I provide.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Allen's Sandstone Dog Training. Located in Orange County California. I trained with Allen for five wonderful years. During that time I worked with hundreds of canines and their handlers. I have learned to educate both the canine and the owner. My style of training is hands on and dealing with the issues. Every dog is special and worth training. I take great pride in my relationship with the dog and the owner.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always wanted to be a teacher but figured I would get fired if I didn't except unruly behavior from children. I believe in respecting the teacher and that doesn't always happen in todays world. Sooooo, instructing canines and their owners has provided me with a very thankful job. And, when a dog talks back to me it usually has something important to say. I love being a canine teacher. If the dog has something to say, I listen and together we figure out the best training plan.
