Introduction: As a professional performer, teacher, songwriter and recording artist, I am well equipped to focus on what my students want to learn. I have a bachelor's degree in music performance and four international teaching certificates. Having performed with Grammy nominated artists such as Blind Melon and Phil Keaggy, I feel I've developed unique skills and techniques that I can relate to my students. Pete taught our son James guitar lessons for about two years. James had never played guitar prior to meeting with Pete, and I was impressed by Pete's patience, optimism and professionalism at every lesson. James can now play several pop songs and even some beginner classical music. Thanks Pete!

Pete is a patient and knowledgeable teacher, having taught me ukulele for about two years. When I first got my uke, I was totally inexperienced and didn't know how to hold it properly. Now I can play many songs with many different chords. He also taught me a few classical songs. I'd highly recommend Pete!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in music performance from Judson University in Elgin. I am also certified through the International Baccalaureate program to teach music in a school setting.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My goal is to perform and teach songs and styles that a customer requests, rather than pushing my own musical agenda. A happy customer is my ultimate goal!
