I am extremely fortunate to have known Sensei Pat all these years. Her sincerity, enthusiasm and dependability are traits I have attempted to mirror since 1997. My daughter started training in 2016 and she could not have a better role model. My son is expecting to start training soon!
ATKA has several different options to help improve your heath and well-being: Traditional Shotokan Karate, ages 4 and up. Traditional Okinawan Kobudo, ages 13 and up. Private and group lessons, tailored to your needs.

If you are seeking an incredibly knowledgeable and caring academy to attend, this is it! Pat Pusateri Sensei individually tailored self-defenselessons for me down to every detail. We started with an ample amount of background information to create a solid foundation to base strategies off of. Each week we reviewed previously-learned tactics and added new mechanisms; I never felt overwhelmed. This was not only an amazing learning experience for my body, but also strengthened my inner voice in ways I never imagined.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Begin with a FREE PRIVATE LESSON and orientation.
Private lessons are $50 per session.
Small Group Classes are
$75 -$150 per month, depending upon how many classes you will attend per month.
Gear packages and retail products are available for purchase on location or on our website.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Chat via phone, text, email, Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn. We will listen carefully and together determine goals and suggest the best training plan to meet those objectives. We then offer the client a trial period. After which, if the client desires he or she may continue their membership.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Staff credentials include: College degree in applied science and health. Certifications including Coaching, Wellness, Martial Arts Instruction, SKIF - Shotokan Karatedo International Federation. We are under the direction of Kancho Nobuaki Kanazawa (Soke Hirokazu Kanazawa) SKIF Japan. Sensei Pat Pusateri has over 40 years experience in Shotokan Karate, Kobudo and more, is 4th degree black belt. Assistant Instructors are 2nd degree black belts each with 10 - 15 years experience.
